Einfache Rundtour nach Lecce mit Stadtrundfahrt (wer sichs traut)

The route leaves Lecce on quiet streets and then takes you through a succession of typical small towns where all life goes on. In between, there are quiet lanes with olive groves, fields of vines and the occasional herd of goats. Spend some time in the surprising ornate churches and the still lived in old walled town centres. The terrain is  basically flat with small gentle undulations. 

This mainly flat ride follows the main coast road from Otranto through the Palude Le Cesine nature reserve before turning inland to visit Acaja before finding its way into Lecce

A long, easy going route which is mainly flat ride and explores the coastline down to Gallipoli.

Cycle to Puglia's most southerly point in Santa Maria di Leuca. Enjoy cycling through coastal towns along the Salento coastline where today, the Ionian and Adriatic coastlines meet.

A fine ride from Santa Maria di Leuca to Otranto on the coastal road. A little more challenging but possible the best ride of the tour! Please note that there is a diversion in place just south of Castro in Cala dell'Acquaviva due to a landslide which you will need to take in order to continue on your way to Otranto.

schöne Tour, teilweise auf einem breiten Fahrradweg (!), teilweise auf einem (zumindest im Winter) wenig befahrenen Sträßchen. LKWs und Wohnmobile werden immer wieder abgeleitet. Wenn jetzt noch die Leute ihren Müll bei sich behalten könnten, wäre es perfekt....

Bester Link: Radroute entlang des Apulischen Aquädukts. Wir sind nur einen Teil des Radwegs gefahren, welcher gut ausgebaut war. Ab Area Naturale Foggia di Santa Anna gut fahrbar bis Maduria. Allerdings gibt es ab Grottaglie absolut keine Markierung mehr. In Höhe des Alta Mura Nationalparks haben wir den Weg gequert. Hier nur ein schlecht ausgebauter Mountain-Bike-Trail. Also gut überlegen, wo man fährt.

Die Tour führt zu Beginn auf kleinen Straßen entlang, auf denen, zumindest jetzt im Winter, wenig los ist. An einer Stelle kann man auch einen kleinen Spaziergang zu einer Kapelle auf einem Hügel einbinden. In Santa Maria al Bagno selbst fährt man auf einem bestens ausgebauten Fahrradweg. Leider endet der im Moment abrupt wegen Steinschlags.
