Yunam Peak is a rare six-thousander Himalayan trekkable peak.On the same ranks of Stok Kangri and Kangyatse that can fulfil the higher ambitions of trekking and adventure enthusiasts for climbing and lay a serious groundwork for technical mountaineering pursuits. A soaring presence in the Lahaul-Spiti locale, the Yunam Peak is not entirely unknown to those who have travelled by the Leh-Manali highway, though it is not as frequently climbed as the Stok and other peaks of the same club. The summit of Yunam has a great vantage point for an outstanding view of the C.B. Range and Mulkilla Range, and this is just one reason to scale the peak. Yunam is located that far side of Himachal where the mountains are terrifyingly rugged and sparse in greenery. The highest motorable road of the state ends in Baralacha La, only a few kilometres from Yunam base camp, where the pathways of Ladakh, Spiti, and Lahaul intersect. Crossing over from Manali to Keylong to Bharatpur- from where the trek actually begins, can be an adventure in itself as you are being transported from gentle undulations, green slopes, and apple orchards of Manali to the rugged and grey rocky mountain highs. The drive to this far end of the world is breathtaking in terms of changing topographies, the chills of starkly dropping temperature, and bizarre emerald lakes glistening in the middle of nowhere in a cold rocky desert matrix. The way up from Bharatpur onwards features snow patches, mixed scree and snow tracks, and sharp jagged walls of rock. Quite unusually, the stretch of this glaciated desert is not short of water points. On our way to the base camp and beyond, a number of streams will cut the path across and at the base camp we will have a small lake in the vicinity. The going gets more and more exacting with the miles ahead on this expedition. Frostbitten wind come in squalls and hit hard, the pace has to be moderated to keep from slipping on scree, and most of all, the rapid gain in altitude can take a toll. The expected physical agitation, couples with unpredictable weather conditions at the higher reaches of the trek and has the potential of a deathly challenge. Climbers must put grit against grit and overcome this hurdle with strong will and determination.

The Friendship Peak is a majestic mountain located at Pir Panjal range in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Perching along an altitude of 5,289 m above the sea level, the Friendship Mountain remains snow bound anytime. A team of Expedition leaders lead the climbers (Aditya, Alok, Deven and Prateek) to reach the summit at 09:47Hrs on the day of 07th July 2022. it was a quick expedition starting from Dhundi in Manali on 05th July 2022 at 11:15 Hrs.
