1796 eröffente das Kilmainham Gaol als neues County Gefängnis in Dublin.

Das Cork City Gaol war ein 1818 erbautes Gefängnis und ist heute ein Museum.

Der Drombeg Stone Circle, auch The Druid's Altar genannt, befindet sich im County Cork.

Here you will discover a magical location. It has been a place of Christian pilgrimage for at least 1,500 years, but the sacredness of the location pre-dates Christianity as a place of pagan worship.

At Boolavogue be sure to visit the Father John Murphy Centre.  This is the farmstead where Father Murphy, the 1798 rebel leader, lived for many years.

This Stone Fort was built on the limestone karst of the Burren, with views over Galway Bay and the Aran Islands

Spanish arch is rest of bastion form 16th century which was added to city walls. It should protect city.

You will pass the ruins of this stone barracks just before finishing in Glenmalure, though it is not currently open to the public. After the 1798 Rebellion, many Irish Rebels hid from the British in the nearby hills and valleys. This barracks was the largest of four in the region, that the British hoped would finally suppress the rebels. The rebels reached a truce soon after its construction, and it has been largely unused.
